"I recently completed my micro internship at AAM - American Axle & Manufacturing, organized through Digital Lakes. Throughout my time there, I worked alongside IT professionals to deliver products relating to device and server health, using tools such as Microsoft Powershell and Excel. I also had the opportunity to tour technical facilities and hear from associates working in engineering and quality assurance about how AAM is working to deliver high quality products to Michigan's automotive companies. I am leaving AAM with professional and technical skills that I am excited to use going forward. Special thanks to my mentor Kevin Linna and Digital Lakes for this opportunity."

"The interns spent their first two weeks with Infrastructure and Operations. They learned not only about configuring a laptop, they learned about Servers, Storage, Network, Tools, etc. Those weeks went well! This week they were with our Chief Technology Office (CTO) team. I just left a presentation they did as an assignment from the CTO Team to 'Compare SAFe and TOGAF'. They did a great job researching, building the presentation, and presenting it to the CTO leadership team. They let us know that they learned quite a bit from being given an assignment."

Health Alliance Plan and Digital Lakes are working together to bridge the talent gap in MI, giving interns opportunities to continue careers in their home state when they graduate. As we become more hashtag data driven , expanding career paths in hashtag IT , cybersecurity and data analytics will be more of a priority for companies."

"Over the last month, I had the opportunity to explore the automotive industry through my internship at Magna International! My project focused on testing the accuracy of an Inertial Measurement Unit's gyroscope, and I learned about how sensors like these can provide navigational abilities even when a GPS signal is unavailable.
